Susantha’s love for gardening started way back in 1965 when he started home gardening activity as a teenager in Negombo, Sri Lanka which was his birth place. In 1971 he had the first interruption to his gardening activities when he started University higher studies. His professional career as a Chartered Civil Engineer started after he graduated from the leading University in Sri Lanka, Peradeniya campus in 1975 as a Civil Engineer and then achieving the Chartered status from the leading Engineering Institutions in the UK and Sri Lanka in 1978.
